In our magazine review, we decided to keep a cohesive sense of style in terms of layout and colours to keep in form with our Brand Identity As you can see the 'split' appearance is also used in our Short film as well as our film poster, which helps to juxtapose the characters really well. we decided to layout the article in a Profile kind of style, consisting of a profile picture and Questions like Name, Age and Hobbies, this makes the article seem a little more informal and allows the audience to have a brief idea what the characters are like, we also use ironic language for example Maggie's hobbies are 'eating' this also allows the audience to picture their own perception of the characters.
Looking back at the structure of the article we decided to use 'pink' for Maggie and 'blue' for Danny, the conventional colours for a 'girl' and 'boy. However the background is made up of a range of colour which is used to reflect on Maggie's character and sense of style.
To create our magazine review we used Adobe Indesign to create the split page for our magazine review. We put up pictures of clipboards that we found on the internet and added pictures of the two main characters to give it a kind of profile effect. We were mainly inspired to do this from websites like facebook and bebo.

Hello Rawad, Diana & Darine,
ReplyDeleteThere is some great stuff on here and you have shown excellent presentation of research & planning, including: drafting, layout, scripting & storyboarding, excellent use of time and resources and excellent research into existing texts and a potential target audience.
To improve further you need to:
•Include the same kind of paragraph as you have for you magazine analyses, with all your poster and short film analyses. These should highlight conventions followed/what the conventions of short films (eg. complete, singular narrative; few/single characters; use of visual shorthand to convey characteristics/situation; use of enigma or playing on audience perceptions; use of humour etc.) and film poster are.
•Explain further the draft poster and magazine, linking to conventions of posters & magazine reviews, using appropriate terminology and justifying why you are creating it in this way. Link to the brand identity that you are trying to create.
•Explain what is your brand identity? (Be as broad and detailed as possible). What type of brand identity are you trying to create? How are you hoping to achieve this across the three products that you are creating?
At present your marks are:
Rawad- 17 (low level 4)
